No Black Dye Drop Yet... - Page 8 - Guild Wars Forums

At retail release, my first char picked up two black dyes in pre-searing, and a third somewhere along the way. Since then, leveling up two more characters, I have not found any more black dye. Plenty of silvers, but no blacks.

I seem to have been getting a lot more black dye dropping lately. Obviously I don't know the mechanics of the game, but it almost seems like Anet 're-stock' items periodically.

I think black dyes are like buses, when you get one the others will follow soon after. Done 300 hours odd, completed it twice and have had dozens of famring runs in sorrows furnace before I had my first drop. Two days later I got another pre-searing. Life is like that I guess

Ive played 650 hrs and have 7-8 black dyes drop for me.

Today, in my 734th hour of play, while fighting giants outside of the Deldrimor War Camp in Snake Dance........a black dye drop. The first ever.

When I woke up in the hospital, the doctor said I had suffered 12 consecutive heart attacks.

i've had 0 black dye drops in over 800 hours of playing, which imo is rediculus, i've had 27 black dyes, drop for OTHER people (while in my party), none for me

i've had about 250+ drops of every other dye color.

but since you say EVENTUALLY i will get one, i'll just keep chugging

ive still only gotten one. i was in a group doing a kyrtan mission and this chick got black dye. it was her second in 2 days. freaking bullshit. the rest of us were like wtf we havent got black dye in forever. freaking sucked cause thats only the 3rd time ive seen black dye dropped and only one was for me. freaking sucked ass.

i spent 2 weeks in presearing farming for black dye i got nothin, jack squat. didnt even get a silver dye for taht fact. and yes i was farming black bears.

2 characters level 20 and no one yet... BTW I got some silver dyes here and there pre searing and after, I don't recall how many, around 5-10 but still waiting my first black drop.

i have found 6 black dyes in my 1000 hours of playing ! mostly from low lvl creatures ...2 from lvl 15 ettins, 1 from a skeleton sorceror at gates of kryta, 2 from charr and 1 from a lvl 5 stone elemental outside sardelac

Eight black dies at the time of the market upheavel which I sold for an outlandish amount of gold. Two more since then. I've used about a half dozen silvers and still have 24 in inventory.

Just luck my friend.

bad luck for you.. lol first dye i found was black followed by 2 silvers in the same run.. ive found prolly 5 black dyes.. dont count on them dropping spend your money and buy one lol

I've acually got a silver dye at level 1 in presearing, and a green/red at level 2 in presearing ^-^
But I have only gotten a black dye drop once, with my second character on the run from the great wall to sarcadelic sanctum, I was going to run past this group acually, but I got blocked, and took them all out, finding a black dye ^-^

my best yet is my ele/necro which got her first black at 19 minutes into the game from a river scale TAD while i was getting scale fins for the collectors beltpouch trade.

i sold it in post sear for starting money and am back to 19 blacks

total dyes including sold oranges and others about 450 - 500

i sold over 100 oranges and still have about 30 (got 2 more yesterday orange of course)

Black bears? They don't drop crap!!! (except Bear Pelts). I never farm Bears or Wolves.

I have no idea what creature drops the most dye, but I've gotten most my dye (and all my Black) from farming Grawl.

The biggest Dye dropper I have found are the Gargoyle in the
catacomb. Got a lot of silver from them.

I sold my first black 50G.
